My awkward trip back home

I sat still in his car while he drove. For 30 minutes, there was perfect silence, no one said anything, (pretty unlike me) you could hear the drop of a pin. He was a married man, helping me close to my house.
As a Nigerian girl,  there is the psychology that that unnecessary conversation builds unnecessary familiarity more so when engaging in a discussion with a married man.

However that should not stall the possibility of a good or healthy conversation. I asked myself what we are going to talk about. I didn't want to discuss his life marriage, women and attitude or anything close etal. I guess it was more difficult because he was a married man.

I strongly believe in healthy conversations irrespective of the sex.  Opposite sex should have healthy discussions with without the fear of anyone flirting. Every discussion doesn't have to lead to sex or a date. Trust me there is a lot to learn from each other. A married man once thought me the essence of positive words and positivity towards our husbands as well as The place of  sex. Trust me no flirting anyway. I enjoy a close relationship with with my dad so I don't think it should be difficult to engage in healthy conversation irrespective of religion, status, class etc. The paramount intent should be to build relations, network, minds and intellect without the intent of  flirting

The following tip could be helpful:
1. try not to talk about his marriage,  unless you are looking for trouble or something else and If he raises the topic, maintain a neutral position.
2. Talk about anything but his wife, Except he is planning a special surprise for her and he needs your help. Trust me you do not want to be the topic of a discussion between husband and wife.
3. You could talk about your dreams,  at least  he knows you have got a future and you are serious minded
4. Talk football, sport,  politics- it shows you are informed and intelligent.
5. If you have got nothing at to talk about, talk about Nigeria's problem, Nigeria has got a lot of problem you cannot exhaust in a single discussion.
